This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal data when you use the Drape mobile app and website. By creating an account or using Drape, you agree to this Policy. Please also read our Terms & Conditions and Refund & Cancellation Policy.
1. Who we are
Drape (“Drape”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is a service operated by Psylief Technologies Private Limited, a company incorporated in India. We are the “Data Fiduciary” in respect of your personal data under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”). For any privacy questions or to exercise your rights, contact us at sadana@psylief.com.
2. The data we collect
We collect only what we need to provide the service:
- Account data: your email address and an encrypted password, managed via Firebase Authentication. We do not collect your name or phone number.
- Images you upload: photos of fabric, and (optionally) a photo of yourself or a model, which you provide so we can generate a try-on look.
- Generated content: the AI-rendered try-on images created from your inputs, and related session details (chosen garment, fabric selections, status, timestamps).
- Billing data: your wallet credit balance and transaction, order and subscription records (amount in INR, GST, order/payment IDs, plan, dates). We do not collect or store your card, UPI or bank details — see Section 4.
- Limited technical identifiers: an app/installation identifier and basic information needed to operate authentication and our cloud functions. We do not use advertising IDs, and we do not run third-party analytics, ads or crash-reporting SDKs.
3. How and why we use your data
We process your data for the following purposes, based on the consent you give when you sign up and upload content, and on our need to perform the service you request:
- To create and secure your account and authenticate you.
- To generate try-on images from your fabric and photos (the core service).
- To operate the credits/wallet system, process payments and issue GST-compliant receipts.
- To provide support, prevent abuse and fraud, and keep the service safe and reliable.
- To comply with applicable law (including tax and accounting obligations).
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your uploaded photos to train AI models.
4. Service providers & sharing
We share data only with trusted processors who help us run Drape:
- Google Firebase / Google Cloud — hosting, authentication, database, file storage and serverless functions. Your data is stored on Google Cloud infrastructure and may be processed at data centres operated by Google, which can be located outside India.
- Google Gemini (AI image model) — to render your look, we send the relevant fabric image, your optional photo, and a generated prompt to Google’s Gemini image model for that single request. These images are used only to produce your result and are not retained by us for that purpose beyond the retention periods in Section 5.
- Razorpay — our payment gateway. When you pay, you enter your payment details directly into Razorpay’s secure checkout. Card/UPI/bank credentials are handled by Razorpay and never pass through or get stored on our servers.
We may also disclose data if required by law, regulation, legal process or a lawful government request, or to protect our rights, users and the public.
5. How long we keep your data (retention)
Uploaded and generated images are automatically deleted after the periods below. This is enforced by storage lifecycle rules and database time-to-live policies.
| Data | Retention |
|---|---|
| Fabric photos you upload | Deleted after 30 days |
| Your / model photos you upload | Deleted after 7 days |
| Generated try-on results | Deleted after 7 days |
| Account & billing/GST records | Kept while your account is active and as long as required by tax and accounting law |
If you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data, except records we must retain to meet legal, tax or accounting obligations or to resolve disputes.
6. How we protect your data
Data is encrypted in transit. Access is restricted so that each user can only reach their own data, payment instruments never touch our servers, and your credit balance can only be changed by our secure server logic. While no system is perfectly secure, we apply reasonable security practices consistent with the IT Act, 2000 and the SPDI Rules, 2011.
7. Your rights
Subject to the DPDP Act, you have the right to:
- access a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we process it;
- request correction, completion, updating or erasure of your personal data;
- withdraw consent at any time (this will not affect processing already carried out);
- nominate another person to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity;
- raise a grievance with us (see Section 9).
To exercise any right, email sadana@psylief.com from your registered email address.
8. Children
Drape is intended for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal data of children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Grievance Officer
In accordance with the DPDP Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000 and rules thereunder, our Grievance Officer can be reached at:
- Grievance Officer, Psylief Technologies Private Limited

We acknowledge grievances within 48 hours and aim to resolve them within the timelines prescribed under applicable law.
10. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use of Drape after changes means you accept the updated Policy.
